Privacy Policy
LensCap is a Chrome extension by StudioH that captures full-page screenshots. This policy explains what LensCap processes and how your information is handled.
What LensCap Accesses
- Current tab content while you run a capture
- Page URL, page title, and screenshot image data needed to render your capture preview
- Chrome permissions:
activeTab,scripting, tabs, storage, andalarms - StudioH account email and authentication tokens, when you sign in to LensCap Pro
How Data Is Used
- To generate stitched screenshots from the current page
- To show a local preview page in your browser
- To export your capture as PNG or PDF when you choose to download it
- To remember local preferences and your LensCap Pro entitlement status
Data Sharing and Collection
LensCap does not sell your data. LensCap does not send your screenshot content to StudioH servers. Captures are processed locally in your browser extension context.
LensCap Pro requires a StudioH account. When you sign in or upgrade, the extension communicates with the StudioH API and Stripe (our payments processor) to create your account, manage your subscription, and check your entitlement. Stripe handles billing data — payment card details never reach LensCap or StudioH.
Storage and Retention
Capture data is held in extension memory temporarily so preview and export can complete. This temporary data is automatically removed shortly after capture. Downloaded files are saved only where you choose in your browser.
Chrome storage is used for local settings such as filename templates, your StudioH session tokens, and your cached LensCap Pro entitlement state. You can sign out at any time from the extension popup, which clears the stored session.
Third-Party Libraries
LensCap includes local third-party code for PDF generation (jsPDF). Library code is bundled with the extension package and used only for local processing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when LensCap changes. The effective date above reflects the current version.
